He will be working with the Missouri APA Chapter, as well as the Kansas City, Springfield and St Louis sections, state metropolitan planning organizations, and regional planning commissions to share Missouri transportation topics, projects, and initiatives with a national transportation audience.
Jim leads the Wilson & Company Midwest Region Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering practice, offering experience from both private and public sectors. With a broad-based, multi-modal background, his planning and operations expertise have provided community direction and cost-effective sustainable solutions. His transit and non-motorized experience has allowed him to integrate multi-modal elements into communities contemplating initiating or expanding multi-modal services.
Having worked at county and state departments of transportation agencies, his public sector perspectives enhance private sector solutions. He has formulated regional plans in cooperation with state, regional, local, and MPO organizations, and has developed technical studies for plan and program implementation, as well as facilitated elected official and citizen outreach efforts for committees, studies, and plans.
Jim has a Bachelor of Science degree in Urban and Regional Planning from California State Polytechnic University, and is certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).
